THINKING.....

What makes Homo sapiens different from animals? Some say, "They walk on all fours & we walk on two!!” others; "In order for animals to sustain themselves, they need to hunt down weaklings - theory of Darwin: Survival of the fittest".

The big picture missed by most people: animals rely on instinct.
Humans, on the other hand, are gifted with the extra-ordinary ability to reason, to Think, to differentiate between good & bad, and decipher the true the false.....

But what comes as a gift accompanies with it..a curse!! There isn't a second in a day, not even a nano second, where my brain would not Think. It Thinks for the most trivial of things. The coffee spilled over. And my brain races ahead faster than Jean Pablo Alonso on his McLaren, to find the cause, the reason. Once it finds the answers to How, why, What, it provides me with a solution. Take a mop & wipe away.

Everything inspires me to Think. I lay down, and all I can do is Think. I eat - Thinking. I smoke - Thinking. I walk - Thinking. I Think about everything that happened in a day, and everything that could have happened. Everything. I Think.

This, this introspectiveness of mine makes me sick. Cos I'm made aware of my shortcomings in everything. Many a time, it's me. Many a time, it’s my life. Many a time, it’s everyone & everything.

Why do I Think so much? Will I ever cease to Think? Would there ever be an "End of days" for my Thinking? I do not know. Maybe I never will...

Nevertheless, without this curse, survival in this cruel & selfish world would be a Herculean task.

And after posting this , I slip back to THINKING, yet again.
